The fact Walton Goggins didn’t win an Emmy for Season 5 and Season 7 of The Shield is a crime in and of itself.

Another Walton Goggins role that was never got any Emmy love: Shane Vendrell from The Shield. Especially in that show’s last season.
The fact that Justified, Deadwood, and Bojack weren’t drowning in nominatons and wins is exactly why I don’t take the Emmy seriously.
Braugher won an Emmy for Homicide
Plenty off the top of my head. Walton Goggins for Justified. 90% the cast of The Wire, particularly Clarke Peters, Michael K. Williams and Jamie Hector (but honestly, you could pick almost anyone from that show). BoJack Horseman for its final season and earlier Will Arnett for his performance in Free Churro…
He actually did win the Emmy for Homicide, his final season.
Look I like Maya Rudolph as much as the next sane person, but the voters did realise this was their last chance to recognise Jessica Walters for her performance as Malory Archer, right?
Michael McKean and Rhea Seehorn for “Better Call Saul.” Too late for McKean, but there’s still a chance they make it up to Seehorn.
Honestly the Emmys have overlooked so many people and shows I don’t know where to start. Community, Parks and Rec, Jason Alexander never got one, Phil Hartman never did, genre shows are routinely neglected, like they’re somehow more consistently off the mark than the Oscars which is impressive.
Also ignored, somehow, for Homicide. As was the whole damn series.
Though both were nominated for their respective tv seasons, neither Allison Tolman nor Jean Smart won for Fargo.
The logical, rational part of me knows that it’s just coincidence, but there’s a small part that think there’s something apropos/beautiful in that in less than 6 months, we lost arguably the two greatest late-night talk show guests of all time in Charles Grodin and Norm Macdonald. I like to think they’re now both “up…
He and Jerry Seinfeld discussing Bill Cosby on Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee:
I still remember watching this the night it first aired. It blew me away how god damn funny it was. I was already a fan, but this clip turned Norm into a comic hero for me.
Try this:
Every time I watch that clip I have to wonder why on earth Conan thought it was a good idea to taunt Norm with “Do something with that you freak”, but I am forever grateful that he did.
I’ll do it and I’ll be a hipster about it. I think it’s even better if you watch his entire segment leading into it. did some digging and found it in 3 parts:
Classic f’ing Norm.
Finally answering to Courtney Thorne Smith’s murdered film career in the great beyond...
This year, there’s a new “Worst Job in America”, displacing the old number one for the last five consecutive years - “Crack Whore”. The new number one: “Assistant Crack Whore”.
