People really are pretty desperate to defend this despite it looking, well, terrible. The animations and models are awful for a modern game (and no, low budget is not an excuse, cheaper games have done more with less). I get that it’s nostalgic and all that but people can’t on one hand lambast modern game companies

Please, there’s plenty of indie funded games that manage to look substantially better than this.

It doesn’t look fine, it LOOKS terrible. Nobody is dismissing the game as ‘ass’ they’re clearly dismissing the models and animations as such - because they are. They’re stiff and robot like and utterly bloody terrible considering the game does actually have a pretty vast budget.

The VR version of a fairly mediocre game is going to destroy the Oculus? Alright.

If this had been announced after Dawn of War 2 it’d be much more exciting - not sure how to feel about Relic after DoW3...

I only use two sensors on my Rift and it works perfectly fine, in fact I wasn’t aware there was a third sensor... I do play in limited space though.

Got both (because Oculus sent me a free Rift, only reason) but I’ve learned to like the Oculus a little bit more. It’s a lot less...fiddly. You don’t need to plug in a power pack, you don’t need to balance sensors at high points around your room. I think if you’re working in more space and you can keep it plugged in

“as dull as Operation Genesis”

Other than the World Cup we won? We’re due another, give us 50 years.

Boggles my mind to this day that there’s countries (especially one as ‘modern’ as the US) that don’t have it.

I like longer games, yeah. It feels in its current iteration that basically both players pick a strategy and then within 5 minutes you know which one has won because it essentially hard countered the other. 5 minute games are fine sometimes, but sometimes I want a long drawn out epic battle too, you know?

Can people more knowledgable about SC2 let me know - any potential change to game length from this? I understand they edged towards shorter games inevitably for the esport appeal but I gave up watching SC2 a long time ago because every game being effectively over by 5-10 minutes started to bore me.

Sticking things in silly hashtags and caps doesn’t make them true.

Of course some matches are going to go crazy long, but that’s always been the case, and there’s plenty of Pirate Warrior or Token Shaman skewing the average right back down again. And yeah, 2 Dead Man’s Hand... take that fucker right down to the end.

Games are no longer than usual. This is tracked in every expansion and the game length has been pretty much consistent since like...launch.

Pointlessly pedantic answers don’t really lend much to the conversation.

Even as a woman the basic principles certainly apply, just at a much lower level. I remember having this conversation with a woman in her 50s just last year where we worked out that in order for her to lose something as little as half a pound a week she’d have to eat an absolutely miniscule number of calories, as an

You can’t see it, but I had a fit.

I don’t have a problem with you believing what you believe, (despite all the evidence to the contrary), it’s a free country - I do have a problem with people spreading bad advice to others based on personal anecdotes.

The nutrition industry is absolutely loaded with terrible advice and outdated science, some of which is already being parroted in the comments below.
