I could spend all my time in Westworld’s luscious, gorgeous futurescapes. The technology, the cities; damn. It’s all beautiful and dystopian and it’s great. Anyway: good episode. Tessa Thompson is doing some career best work in this episode—selling the confused, scared host, selling the Hale impersonation, and selling

Sir, this is a Wendy’s.

This was the first episode directed by Erica Hayes. (Also the first episode directed by a woman.) She storyboarded many of the best episodes of the prior three seasons.

Is this trolling? Are you trolling? Did you know there’s a whole other every other part of the country when you typed this?

Let’s be real for a sec: the challenges are the real winners of AS4 here. A bit light on the explicit design side of things, but taking next week’s Roast of Lady Bunny into account, these have all been magnificent ways to showcase every facet of the All Stars on a level we haven’t seen the showrunners pull off in a

Valentina has officially pulled me into the Telenovela dimension she lives in. The way she was standing during the end, as if she had just won the damn thing lmao plus her deliberation with Trinity and Manila.

It’s okay, Phil’s probably just setting him up for another surprise birthday party.

Probably both.

Favorite character of this series was definitely Judy/Birdgirl. The over-serious, over-eager super-wannabe character inside an absurd world only populated by superheroes and villains in the most superficial way always struck me as hilarious.

But ... I liked fat Mac.

Oh, a lesson in gem biology from mister “I’m my own mother.” Let’s get the hell out of here already! Screw homeworld!

This episode was a hot mess.

I guess I don’t really care about any of the remaining queens this season, so that’s probably it for me. Aside from AS3, has the show always been so obviously contrived to get certain girls to the end, and I’ve just not followed closely enough to notice?

The drag race music is a lot

Don E was on fire this episode

I’ve always felt there’s something unifying about struggling in a similar way. Seems clear that Thorg and Trixie both know their way around “I’m not good enough” anxieties, definitely gives their humor its bite, but also results in the dreaded “getting into your head,” situation.

I don’t think Shangela has literally

All Stars is so weird because all these people already know each other; they tour together, have their own cliques/ inside jokes, etc. Trixie and Thorgy seem to have very similar senses of humor, and it shows in their joint appearances (My favorite being their roasts: “Trixie Mattel is so white she thinks the Projects

Trixie’s meltdown makes more sense in the context of filming. She was taping AS3 in the day and The Trixie and Katya Show at night, so she was basically “on” all day, everyday. The other girls at least got the respite of untucking and being alone in a hotel. WOW had Trixie running ragged, and that knowledge renders
