I’ve been shopping around for ANC headphones, and even tried out those Sonys, but think I’m settling on the Bose 700 instead. Switching between devices with the Sonys was a real pain in the ass. Really the fastest way to do it is to put them into pairing mode, then manually reconnect with whatever device you want to

we get to see that the Skrulls that stayed behind to help Carol Danvers save the day in the first place

Odd that this review doesn’t mention how it looks when the characters sing, since that seems to be the biggest question mark, and the biggest red flag from the promotional materials.

Weird. I can’t even picture how that would’ve gone. Although the second round of Vormir was much the same as the first, the whole point of it is to have someone make a heart-rending decision. I’m not sure how you have that same emotional impact in the middle of a big battle.

Yeah, I can’t believe anyone has any takeaway besides this. Little Simba looks darn cute, but actually putting songs in its mouth is gonna be weird as hell.

Though I guess let’s also not forget that Logan references the Statue of Liberty incident, which, assuming they’re referring to what happened in X-Men, requires both Jean AND Mystique to be alive...

Yeah, I think this makes a little more sense than the article’s split. One thing unclear is how the “fixed” 2023 of DofP fits into this, since Jean is at the school in that version. It can’t be in the Dark Phoenix universe, if she dies/leaves/whatever in 1992 there (I haven’t seen it). But it *could* be the same

Right, and I’m *definitely* going to trust two skinny legs of Ikea-grade wood to hold up an entire dresser’s worth of weight.

They didn’t.

I know it’s an unpopular opinion, but I didn’t really like First Class and loved DoFP, so the faster they got to it, the better.

Both Taurus rockets then plummeted to their doom in the ocean, with NASA LSP writing in their report that the “combined cost of both mission failures was in excess of $700,000,000.”

Wait, how is any of this a problem? He lived a life in an alternate timeline, where different things happened than in the MCU timeline. Just because they don’t explain what exactly happened during those 70 years in that other timeline doesn’t make it a plot hole. And the Russos explicitly say that stuff might be

HBO doesn’t broadcast or stream in 4k or HDR. (And HDR does work at 1080p - the PS4 non-Pro does it for games, at least.)

I have a (semi-well-calibrated) LG C8, and it didn’t look too bad. I could see pretty well with the lights on, then with the lights off things looked better. What really killed it for me were the compression artifacts. All the crypt scenes made it look like they were in the Cave of Sparkles. (I watched with HBO Now on

Something I thought the movie didn’t make super clear was: how much *did* Carol remember about her old life? We see her remembering the accident, but I wasn’t sure if that was a snap-into-place moment with her remembering everything else up til then, or if the rest of it was still just bits and pieces. Kinda made it

Not that we should be looking to straight white guys for representation, but we’re still angry at him for having an affair, huh?

No.

We’re not buying that x-planation.

For me, the thing was I was unsure for most of the movie whether the audience was supposed to know it was Bucky. In Winter Soldier during the Hydra reveal there’s a quick shot of a newspaper clip heavily implying Bucky was involved, and remembering that I just kept thinking “WE already know it’s Bucky... right?”
