One thought is to talk with your local school's shop/industrial arts/votech/whatever you call it teacher. If you are willing to pay for supplies and provide a design, they may have some, most will have capable kids that can put together a desk that fits specific needs.

I'm gonna plug a former student's company that created this app a couple years back.

An argument for those breaks is that it provides time for families to travel at different times of year so that students wont miss school, or at least minimize the time missed.

I'm not a die hard hockey fan but I watch a good amount. It seems to me that Hasek was really good, but a lot of the highlight saves were because he put himself in a bad position, like when he is sprawled out on his stomach. Am I wrong in saying that?

For me, I probably pay the same as before but that include sports packages that I wouldn't have had if I had cable. Also, not having to deal with cable companies is a bonus. If I want to stop a service, I just quit paying. No equipment to get back, no cancellation fees (usually), etc.

Although they may be scarce or don't exist in your particular area, if the local school has a foundation or scholarship program would be a worthwhile cause to help student from the community. Also, many local school groups (FFA, FCCLA, etc) hold fundraisers and charity drives this time of year.
