So when I read, as a casual aside in an article about streaming, that people offer virtual friendship and emotional connection for money through these avenues, it just makes me really sad. They’re only filling a need.

I just never really got why it’s more fun to watch people play games than to play them yourself. Like....I enjoy the random clip here and there of an awesome play/move or whatever and I would look up walkthroughs on youtube for things I was stuck on but to just sit and watch another person play a game and crack…
