Depending on your specs, you may be able to get a bit more for your money. I’m able, for example, to bump the specs from my 2016 and still save a bit, though it’s only a consideration since I significantly underestimated near term storage needs at the time.

Thanks for that tip. I had never investigated whether Apple allowed blocking notifications from individual numbers. Related note ... the Show/Hide Alerts selection seems to persist even after you delete the thread (at least on iOS 11).
