“We can’t figure out how to get the paperwork right” is not a valid basis for criminal law.

Gotcha. Thanks for clarifying.

So, he is a dick-pic-sending-creepo. What do we do with this conclusion?

A “defense” of Anthony Weiner is not required for it to simultaneously be true that nobody has a reason to care what Anthony and Huma do or do not do in their private lives besides rubbernecking.

This is not necessarily true. We have no idea what alien life might be like, _really_. Motives and behaviors might seem completely foreign and unimaginable to us. They may communicate in sucha way that it has nothing to do with what humanity would call “language”. It’s a failing of our entertainment that aliens have

We definitely need more movies where a hyper capable woman puts a bunch of gun-obsessed military guys in their place with reason, logic and patience. How are we going to get a one world government run by women otherwise if we don’t have these role models to follow?

The fact is that she owes nobody a comment in either direction. It must be amusing as hell to her to read all of these comments insisting random members of the public (strangers) are somehow entitled to learn what she thinks about it.

The Spock/Uhura thing is _another_ example of this. Nero appearing and then being gone for the entirety of Spock’s childhood doing God knows what.. It makes no sense that this should result in Spock embracing his human side romantically. They fucked up by wanting continuity and also a reboot- It would have been far

I don’t recall many love lives being mentioned in Trek. There was one line from one of the movies where someone says something like “Sulu has a daughter? When did he get time for a family?” but I do not know that a spouse was ever mentioned. Probably was in some of the novels but those aren’t canon... Still it is

That would be hilarious.

It’s not so much of an alternate universe that the original universe characters end up in the same jobs on the same ship, but one of them is born gay instead of straight. The only way this makes any kind of sense is if in Trek, people choose orientations (politically unsound viewpoint for the writers!) or that Sulu

They aren’t restarting the series in general- If they were, they would not have done the going back in time resetting everything angle. It would have been much better if they HAD simply “rebooted” the universe, but they are implying some consistency between old and new, trying to have it both ways.

In the Prime universe Sulu mentions he has a daughter and a family (Star Trek 6 I think). However he doesn’t mention the gender of the spouse AFAICR so it could still be consistent...

Makeup and excellent lighting.

Agreed, however there is a difference between an accident and an intentionally inflicted injury.

It’s probable that she wasn’t actually injured to a great degree. Minor head cuts look horrible and bleed a ton. I’m sure if it was more than this, the amount sought in the lawsuit would also be much greater.

This write-up is probably overstating the injury. Head injuries bleed a lot and look horrible even for minor cuts. This is worded to make you think that the TSA slammed her face into the floor, when she probably just bumped it.

Couple things about this:

Originally this started as my objection to her being labelled a mediocre student.

Ok, I appreciate that you think it’s horrible, but you haven’t backed it up, so I guess we will just have to leave it there.
