Always made me wonder when in USA they have signs for Bathroom or restroom in bar and places, why would anyone want to take a bath or rest in the toilets!

I’d disagree that macro is a waste of time, I’ve found it useful on occasions in my last two phones (Mate 20 Pro and OPPO find x2 pro) but, as it happens to be a side effect of the wide angle lenses which are useful without a doubt no reason not to include it.

I thought it was probably the white light can not be visible from behind the car part of the regulations, but at least you also checked the actual relevant regulations and called out the story on being BS saying it was due to light pollution..

Nothing to do with light pollution, it just doesn’t comply with the vehicle lighting regulations (probably white light must not be visible from behind the car) . The light pollution story seems to all stem from the Daily Mail who are well known for making up shit just to incite anti EU anger in their readers.

Every article I can find about this cites the Daily Mail as their source and, anyone who knows about the UK press will know that the Daily Mail are the largest anti Europe bullshitting shite stirrers out there!

It’s nothing to do with light pollution (the Mail likely made that up because it will incite anger in their Read more

Always makes me wonder when Americans say that sort of thing.

Renaults and definitely Peugeots were never seen as unreliable here in the UK, sure the unimportant trim pieces would fall to bits but they would generally just keep running and running (Peugeot 405's were one of the goto Taxis in the UK for years because Read more

Contractors don’t generally cost less than employees, they cost more, BUT..... a proper employee wages sits in the Opex column on a spreadsheet which is what shareholders focus on. Openreach aren’t a broadband provider, they’re the company that maintains the national phone and broadband network in the UK that most the broadband providers use.

It’s bullshit isn’t it!

The one I keep seeing in the company I work for is, lay off an important member of staff and then get them back in as a contractor for twice the price, costs twice as much to get the same work done but their cost gets shifted to a different column on a spreadsheet and the shareholders get told Read more

I’m a car enthusiast and I totally respect a boring, reliable, workhorse vehicle.... I’ve bought too many fun enthusiast cars that have nearly financially broke me and in hindsight have realised that if I didn’t just keep buying the “fun” cars as a DD but, instead, just buy a “beige mobile” the money I would have Read more

The kids I advised not to fly theirs picked it up cheap from a garage/yard sale and thought as it was a really windy day it would be a fun day to try it! people just don’t realise how powerful they actually are until they try one.

I’m 6'5" and about 220 lbs and have several land power kites and a kite buggy, can confirm that a 5 Metre kite can and will lift me in winds of about 20-25 Mph, the only time I’ve actually hurt myself was with a small 2.4 Metre kite in about 30-35 Mph winds and that dragged me about like a ragdoll!

Larger kites are not Read more
