He’s pushing their “values” that’s why. Mainly discriminating on minorities and cracking down on women’s rights.
Yeah really, he’s saying all this crazy shit to his base that they love while his policies are screwing them over at the same time. Yet they’re all gonna vote for him again anyhow.
I think your analysis is very accurate. Here lies the problem, at least to me, of current election campaigning. Nobody’s changing anybody’s opinion, but it goes on for years.
‘Despite it being an outright lie and easily verifiable as such, the rightwing media had convinced them that Bill Clinton sent all their jobs to China.’
All said and done, Trump’s presence didn’t change one mind or net him one vote. I can say with some confidence that increase in ratings (which, thanks to karma and poor scheduling choices, NASCAR couldn’t capitalize on) was from people who were already fans of Trump.
It’s quite simple: NASCAR fans are dolts.
Bill Clinton was a draft dodger and the NASCAR crowd hated him.
On Sunday, President Donald Trump gave the command to the “gentlemen” to start their engines at the Daytona 500.…
There was one who handled this about as well as you can a horrifying wreck like this—on a tight schedule to boot.
shut up
If you think you can do a better job after waking up at 2am, driving for ten hours, attending classes, then coming home and settling down with a drink on your day off to watch a race only to find out that you’re going to be up late reporting on a horrific accident, I encourage you to take my place and try your hand.
I think oilchangesarecheap hits the nail on the head. There is a huge pent-up market of folks who want cheap, reliable basic cars and trucks. Not every person on the interwebz who proclaims they’d buy X only if it was brown, manual, etc. is lying.
The Sport trim already has manual transmission, locks, windows, soft top, steel wheels, etc. Not sure how they can take another $8k out of it just by offering the turbo 4.. maybe a 2wd version?
Yea, I’m not entirely sure how people think OEM’s can exist solely on niche vehicles. A large part of FCA’s existence is tied to selling the Wrangler/Gladiator at high volume. Selling the piece of shit OP suggested would literally be FCA taking everything they built, crumpling it up, and throwing it into a burning…
Ehhhhh... That’s exactly what it is, a bro truck. It’s bought by bros that are more interested in image and the jeep brand than a good truck for a good deal. Bros do exactly that. They spend too much on a truck because of how it looks. The people that actually want a good deal on a good, capable truck buy a different…
Yeah, because designing a strategy based around appealing to people who cry endlessly for smaller and cheaper is always a winning business.... /s
They already did that. the base model has no power windows, is a manual, but it doesnt have a 4 cylinder I believe. But thats 33K! Thats why this truck wont sell a lot. Think about even what you get in a base model Ranger or Colorado. Its far more than you get with this truck for thousands less
This is a bad take. Crank windows are good, but people want apple carplay, any less torque the Gladiator will never get out of its own way.
