I get why they’re doing it , but yeah big big loss to the show.

I’m in the same boat as you. I get and appreciate where the actors are coming from, but from a purely selfish standpoint it will be hard to replace Missy’s fairly distinct voice with someone else.
I completely understand the move and the reasoning, but damn. Missy is not gonna be Missy without Jenny Slate voicing her. She has a hella distinctive voice.
A- fuck your slideshows.
Between the novels, comics, AvP franchise and all that, the canon is entirely thrown out the window. Clearly Scott feels the story is his to write regardless of earlier story elements, including from his own films (which to be fair, is technically true, but does make the story less satisfying for the audience).
Exactly. He had a chance to do it in Prometheus AND Covenant. At this point I think he’s just trolling producers.
Wasn’t that what Prometheus was supposed to answer? Why’d he bother making it if it didn’t address any of that?
I wonder if Foster’s visual style was influenced by the now (sadly) obscure 1983 animated film Twice Upon A Time. I see some similarities.
It still fucking blows my mind I had to learn about this from HBO’s Watchmen because my AP history class glossed over the period between the world wars with just a mention of some race riots but not nearly enough specifics and focusing more on prohibition and the great depression. And I grew up in a pretty liberal…
They fucking bombed them with airplanes. Watchmen didn’t make that shit up, that was real.
How about the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre? White supremacists and the National Guard working together to destroy more than 35 square blocks of Black Wall Street, killing an estimated 200-300 black people and injuring countless more, just because they couldn't stand to see POC becoming more successful than white folks. I…
It’s an interesting move, but I could see where it might be worth it for another reason. Someone could probably make a case that they didn’t realize it was still going and cause a hassle demanding a refund.
Much easier to let ‘em go and if they want to come back, they can come back.
The fatal blow to the show came when Benioff and Weiss exhausted the first three books, which are great, and started adapting the fourth and fifth books, which honestly are not very good and are full of false starts and half-realized ideas (everything Dorne). It was clear that the showrunners would have to take…
You’re flying blind on a rocket cycle if you think you can make list like this without including Flash Gordon. He united the warring races of Mongo to rise up against an emperor who showed no mercy. DIVE!
I felt like cosplayers made it in their backyard. I could not get past the first episode. And I was looking forward to it...
I’m surprised it wasn’t mentioned above. but after the first 3 episodes, Syfy preempted Vagrant Queen for one week and then moved the series out of prime time to an 11 PM timeslot to burn-off the remaining episodes. It is all but officially cancelled.
Shouldn’t there presumably be some kind of sleeping quarters? Don’t they have to live on these things in Star Wars? Or is it just like a short-term transport ship type deal? Like, he’s just gotta drive it from New York to Florida in one sitting and suck it up for 18 hours or whatever?
Does he pee in a bottle?
For a few years Iron Man 2 was widely regarded as one of the two worst Marvel movies, and now all of a sudden I keep seeing Iron Man 3 being brought up in the conversation. I feel like there’s some revisionist history going on here, I thought it was at the bottom of the top half of the MCU and Rotten Tomatoes looks…
