Honestly, be happy that Vaporeons aren’t common around you. It’s really annoying seeing every gym headed by a 1100+ Vaporeon. I’ve seen a gym with 3 or 4, 1k+ Vaporeons sitting in it. It takes the fun out of it all. There’s almost no incentive in our area for people to try for anything else.
So any game through any distributor will have to option to implement cross-platform play. It’s just up to the developer as to whether or not they want it. So as others have stated a game could release on steam and allow you to play with people on xbox.
