Who says liberals don’t look down on the South with disdain?

Feel like this is more “Pence is about to lose his battle.” You really think Trump cares?
Overall, I liked this one, but...it seems like an even stronger episode would have engaged with the morally ambivalent outcome of the real-life Daley essentially getting murdered when he hasn’t actually hurt anyone in the real world.
First Deadspin commenter claiming that they owned up this time because Savage is white coming in 3, 2, 1...
Not disagreeing with you, but at the same time: When Obama was deporting record numbers of people, to use just one example, was Deadspin or any Gawker site ever bringing that up as reasons why this year was the “worst year ever”? No. A lot of terrible things have happened in the world under the watch of any president.
Exactly. No one would argue there aren’t a lot of bad things in the world, but you’d think eventually one GMG writer would have the self-awareness to realize that every year gets branded on here as the “worst year ever.”
Try bringing up Greg Howard. Also, talk to Clue Heywood, whom Burneko banned for bringing up Daulerio’s joke about a sex tape with a four-year-old.
Doesn’t your Strahan example show that this won’t necessarily catch up to Winston, or even Roethlisberger? What’s really likely to happen between now and this summer that would lead to him, still playing at a high level, to be run out of town?
No Beyonce on SiriusXM, Tim?
If you (or me, or anyone) felt like someone had just taken a cheap shot at you in front a crowd of people—side-swiping you about something you didn’t know you had to account for and then moving on—you might want to try to save face a little by going back to it, too and trying to set the record straight.
Question is, would a white cornerback* be suspended if he did this?
Completely agree. Whether Oliver thought Hoffman knew what was going to be discussed beforehand or not, how “constructive” did he really think the discussion was going to be? And the less “constructive” it was, who was going to look better for it?
But what was Hoffman supposed to do? Clearly he wasn’t prepared to discuss this, and felt attacked. I’m not sure who wouldn’t react like that in his place, and why he owes his colleagues an apology, considering he didn’t bring it up.
I’d argue that it’s not “deferential” to refrain from blindsiding someone at an event meant to celebrate a movie that came out 20 years ago. Oliver clearly feels the same way, or he wouldn’t go out of his way to say that he tried to clear it with the people running the event beforehand. Maybe Hoffman didn’t get that…
Feel like the woman who’s forgotten by someone who’s apparently met her “at least a dozen times” might be the one being owned here. If Lake had tweeted that, you’d be laughing at him.
I’m guessing you’re not a guy.
I did. Like, two days ago. Where were you?
What exactly should she apologize for?
Seems a little arbitrary, since Time had nothing to do with this.
Blaming Lena Dunham for Roy Moore is like a Jezebel comment written by an AI bot.
