I would love to ride on off-street bike paths, and rail-trails.
There are zero currently where I live and commute, and in most of the country, for that matter.
It’s a chicken and egg problem. You need a very large bike community before a municipality will even think about installing bike paths.
I’m working both on my…

Here’s how low expectations were:
I went to The Mummy (with Brendan Fraser) instead.
After about 20 minutes of it, I was so bored/appalled that I got up and walked out of the theatre, intending to ask for my money back if possible (which is not something I’ve ever done since).
On the way out, I passed by a theatre where…
It will likely be reviewed soon by Common Sense Media.
They’re a great source for understanding kid-friendliness.
They do a decent job keeping up with Netflix releases.
Oprah has made a career of the same shams, purposefully. In fact, I’d argue that with her public profile, she did even more harm than McCarthy.
Remember that when she’s running for president.
In your first comment, you say that your health is your own business, and no one else’s, and therefore you shouldn’t be taxed for your personal unhealthy choices. I agree with this, as you aren’t having a direct negative impact on anyone else’s.
But then in your 2nd comment, you lament that your health care isn’t…
Is it just the differently shaped C-pillar, or does this seem to have (slightly) more rear overhang than a typical Golf.
I’ve always thought a slightly longer shooting brake-style or mini-wagon style Golf would be a big improvement in utility, and looks. Slightly too short as it is.
Either way, I like the looks of this…
Timing mats are generally set up to only register one crossing per bib. For races that do an out and back course, there are generally 2 mats at each mile marker, so the timers can determine which direction you were going.
For a looped course, I don’t know of a good way to set the timers up to capture 2 data sets.
Not defending or decrying this person, but a 1:58 half marathon is quite slow, by runner’s standards.
Why would someone cheat to post a slow time?
I ran a 1:38 in my first half marathon, without ever having run more than 6 miles in training.
Many women in my area regularly post in the 1:30's and low 1:40's.
Minnesota is actually one of the top bike-commuting states (ranks between 5th and 13th, depending on the study).
Minneapolis has the 4th highest % of year round bike commuters among cities.
Bicycle and pedestrian commuting and fatalities are often closely related.
The study this is based on sights bike and ped safety…
I had the same experience with a Pixel 2 USB-C port, fwiw.
Does it have an FM tuner?

Area moment of inertia, yo.
Older cars either didn’t have it, because the panels themselves were thicker, or had more curvature, or they did have them, and you didn’t notice - some cars had stiffening elements like trim moulding around the wheelwells.
As the demand for more fuel efficient (and more powerful) cars has…
Funny story, but I’m calling b.s.
Here’s the thing - most business jets are tiny, approximately the size of a conversion van inside.
They have only seating for 6-10 people, and in modern times, all that have a toilet, actually have a partition/door/full height curtain for that area.
So, there’d be no room for someone to…
Frame of reference, medium traveling in, protection for the human are all important factors. And generally, acceleration is going to be your limiting factor vs raw speed.
I mean, we’re all traveling at 67,000 miles per hour right now, with no ill effects.
C’mon, this is obvious divisive clickbait.
There was zero expectation for any of the prequels after Episode I.
Also with leather seats, and preferably in colors other than black.
I remember seeing a car, I forget the company, at the 1996 Detroit Auto Show whose interior was made from balsa wood; I shit you not.
The interior looked about the same as this, except the seats had no cushioning - just a curved piece of wood.
Just bought a new vehicle.
Paid no destination fee, nor doc fees, and $1200 under MSRP, on one of the most popular vehicles (I held out as long as I could for something with character, but alas, I’m relegated to soccer dad status), and in a town/region with only 1 Honda dealer, so not much room to negotiate.
I’ve done…
