I haven't read the book but the movie to me was bait-y & a disaster in some ways (she steals fried chicken? come on!)

totally
I'm 5'4.5" and that .5 is secretly (or not-so-secretly) very, very important to me. I just say 5'4" usually so that people don't think I'm TOO pretentious.
slumdog millionaire too!
God, I love Alan Cumming so very much!
STATISTICALLY AVERAGE PEOPLE UNITE!!!
Yeah, I'll just get in ahead of all this and note that Precious simply isn't especially a good movie, but Monique is pretty good in it.
You're right; it IS a very different kind of style blog. It's the kind of place where someone might suggest what to wear to Home Depot and offer the caveat that you have to scroll through lots of items to find the good stuff on QVC. It's also the kind of place where we try to be kind our guests. Thank you for noticing…
Oh, I love the ER visits. I was there the Saturday before the Super Bowl and overhead the nurses complaining that I was just trying to scam them for drugs. Uh, no ladies, I just want the ice pick in my right eye to disappear before I try to drill a hole in my own skull to let the demons out.
I'm in the same boat, but on top of that, I'm kind of on the short side (although at 5'4" I'M TECHNICALLY AVERAGE AND I DON'T CARE WHO SAYS OTHERWISE) so that makes it a bit difficult.
You are right that tailoring is the right answer here.
About twice a year, I allow myself to splurge and buy some things from Pepperberry, a British clothing store for the big busted. I've a size 14 butt, a size 10 waist, and a DDD cup. The clothes fit nice without tailoring, but I only buy shirts and dresses from them. It is a bit of a crap shoot though as I can't try…
I think the best thing you can teach her is about the power of layering and tailoring. It's not just for suits; they can do things like take her jeans in at the waist, since the hard part will be finding jean that fit her hips. It's a nice thing you can do for her. And there are a ton of really stretch jeans on the…
The biggest favor you can do for her is introduce her to a good tailor. She will probably always need one for anything the least bit fitted. She'll have to shop to fit the bigger parts of her shape, and then have the tailor take in at the smaller areas, like chickaboom describes.
Yeah, she's got a 29" waist and 42-ish" hips (I don't really know what that is, size wise), clothes typically aren't made for that and teenagers don't really wear tailored clothes. I don't think she's really comfortable with it yet and doesn't really care for close fitted stuff up top. I think she may just have to age…
But he produces all of his skincare products on his own.
You know who has really great skin? Beck.
I WISH the Excedrin migraine worked for me. Triptans are slowly losing their ability to help, so I'm not sure what to do now. Topamax helps as a preventative, but it makes me so slooooow and stupid. I do have a 9 to 5, unfortunately, but I can function with the lesser-migraines. I just have to sit in my office…
Oh my god.
That's what we are. Vampires.
I swear if it wasn't so painful all the light-halos and trails would be a real fun trip. And being able to hear the inside of your head.
Vampires on Acid. Really painful Acid.
I'm gonna go take another triptan and lie down in my dark room (my life is one big dark room) and wait for a stroke to kill me.
