Yea it’s pretty strange the addition of characters you can’t play. Also the fact that Smoke is going by some new name yet they keep him for story scenes only. Maybe Netherrealm are planting seeds like they did with the whole Noob-Saibot thing.

Freddy and Jason are just killers, Predator fits more because he is warrior-like and clearly the inspiration behind the robot ninjas. Only thing that worries me now is that none of those bot-ninjas have been announced yet. Missed opportunity to have Predator fight them if they aren't in.
