Chris Columbus is developing a live-action series based on his own House of Secrets novels co-authored with Ned Vizzini.

I wonder if Cap will get his own Ben & Jerry’s flavor in the MCU to coincide with the Musical.

Muppets berating Alice in Dreamchild.

Now that I think of it Fantasia is pretty F’n weird for a kid, I remember popping that in the top loading VCR and going for a trip. That was some acid trip.

Yep. It’s Bossk from Empire Strikes Back!

Back in the day the black and white television license was cheaper than the colour license, so for many folk Doctor Who was a bw show right the way through. My family didn’t go colour until Sylvester McCoy became the Doctor.

This scene freaked me out as a kid, especially once I realized it was permanent. Pinocchio escapes but has donkey ears and tail for the rest of the film and only the blue fairy is able to remove that as part of the larger miracle of returning him to life and turning him human. It is pretty clear she doesn’t do this

Wheelers are creepy but the headless women screaming at Dorthy when she gets the powder is a lot to expect a child to take in lol. I saw it when it was new (I was about 9) and that scene left an impression for sure.

I think part of it is that the Skeksis are just so fucking evil and depraved. (And are also complete and total cowards who squeal and whine and beg for mercy just before Jen heals the Crystal.)

I don’t think anything in any movie has made a lasting impression on me like the banshee in Darby O’Gill and the Little People. To be fair I was very young - it might be the first movie I can remember seeing in a theater - and I sure wasn’t expecting THAT.

I regularly attend (well, attended) movies with a deaf person. While there are definitely theaters that DGAF about their captioning devices, that seems to be increasingly rare. Now, the devices tend to work well, once set for the right theater.

A single trip back to the ticket counter with a captioning device that’s

I think the fact that TRoS barely limped across the $1 billion line convinced Disney that pandering to the vocal hardcore fans was a mistake and that those particular segments of fandom were more of a liability than anything else. And that came right on the heels of the manufactured YouTube outrage over Captain Marvel.

maybe it’ll be like Ranma ½ where he turns into a lady. which bringing in your wife to play the female version of you would be a interesting choice. they’d have all your quirks down and stuff that makes you tick. and since theyre both actors they could pull it off more convincingly than just having an other actor do

Is that “hide” as in “run &” or “tan your”?

I don’t mind reboots and sequels the way some do, but wow, that’s not very many new stories. I guess Covid really did kill the second golden age of TV.

I call dibs on the “Weird Al’s ‘Christmas at Ground Zero’ square!

Here’s what I hope the beginning of Aquaman 2 is:

I want to know how they get to the top of Barad-Dur to poke Sauron’s eyeball. Is there a maintenance stairwell?
