Ya know, when your coworker said, “Fuck your report,” I don’t think he meant that literally.

Between this and the rampant sexual harrassment, it was like the event organizers came together and said something like, “Okay, we don’t have Dr. Disrespect anymore to film little boys in public restrooms, so we REALLY gotta pull together and drag this show into the sewer as a TEAM! Let’s go out there and make this a

Because (as I say in the first post in this thread) it’s not just Nomura who has been obsessed with this theme. He’s really is just the latest director. Because yeah, now that I think about it, sure... that theme exists even in FF6 (which was my first FF game), and is an undercurrent in FF4 as well.

How many people actually know the voice of Mario beyond a couple of yips and grunts?

Azhdaha is designed for shields. That’s basically his hard counter.

Oh, it absolutely would turn people off.

Yeah... and?

If you really dug farming sims and JRPGs, this was the direct for you.

It’s like Square Enix gets the working title for these games, and decides, “Eh, fuck it.  We’ll just run with that.”

Well, my understanding (at least when it pertains to Zelda games Aonuma has directed), is that the official title tends to come very late in the development process. I suppose the internal working title they were running with could have given away more than they wanted to reveal.

Kojima was notorious for having some off-the-wall batshit crazy ideas; and not like “so crazy it’s good.” Legitimately “this is genuinely awful, how the hell did you think this was a good idea?” sort of thing.

Man, you guys are really showing the Tenacity of the Millelith with some of these puns.

Granted, I can’t find any usage rates readily off-hand, but I would wager the overwhelming majority of players used two separate screens rather than the split screen feature.

If I had to guess, it’s less being able to get it to work more than getting it to work at a level of graphical fidelity and frame rate that gamers are demanding on hardware that simply isn’t capable of it.

Maybe fans WOULDN’T throw a fit over whatever graphical downgrade you want to envision, but I can also see why

Couch co-op is kinda like backwards compatibility. You’d think gamers really, really want it... until you see its actual live usage.

Not really. It doesn’t use any Nintendo assets, nor does it use any trademark of Nintendo, which are the two main things that will get Big N’s lawyers coming after you.

Eh, they haven’t always “taken it.” The backlash has been real in some cases.

You’ve gotta see it to believe it

Translation: 343 wants to add microtransactions, and is hoping that a point will come before release where they are confident they can get away with it.

If I remember correctly, it’s more because Nintendo of America wanted nothing to do with Xenoblade Chronicles, and just took Nintendo of Europe’s localization... where it somewhat surprisingly found a sizable niche no one at NoA was expecting.
