Don’t Cry for Me, Minnetonka

This is a stupid fucking sport

I, too, sit with my arms completely within the armrests of my director’s chair.

To be fair, at the time, not even 2 months after the #MeToo movement was established, who was going to write an article that contained criticism of the movement? No one, including Franken, knew how to craft a response.

Such a dumb sport.

Is that $275 CAD? If so, they’re going to save 30%, duh!

I may not be right in line with your thinking BUT there’s no doubt that their quicker triggers give the Right the advantage.

It totally sucks! Someone else in here made the point that #MeToo brought with it some serious (and deserved) wrath and a by-product of that was some people are going to incur more damage than their transgressions deserved. I don’t think anyone had the balls to go against the movement when it started, much less now.

The reality of it is the Left (generally) wants their people to be people of high character, which is a good thing! And if someone has something come to light that would hurt their image, they’ll eliminate that, which is also a good thing! The Right flat out doesn’t give a shit (i.e. Steve King, Strom Thurmond, The

Exactly! I appreciate the Left trying to keep a clean image, I really do! But they hastily removed one of their most notable and provocative voices in the process. While they did not lose his seat, they lost someone who has no problem dressing down anyone.

I’d like to think it comes from a place of “we want to keep our noses clean/no skeletons in the closet.” And I really can appreciate that attitude, but it’s for a perfect world. We do not live in one of those and all of us have imperfections.

It also takes both sides coming to the table. Independent of the truth in the accusations, Democratic leaders nor Franken ever had an authentic sit-down about the issue, at least nothing I’ve seen. Essentially, there was a lot of “if this is true, he should resign” chatter and then he did.

In today’s climate, if he had not resigned, would he still have credibility? I mean, the right already ignored him. I would hazard a guess that many on the left wouldn’t dare throw support his way.

I never miss an opportunity to see Neil Walker* up close!

this fuckin’ guy

you’re a god damn hero.

Just look at StubHub for empties and go buy food and a drink and that’s your ticket to any seat you want. I cannot tell you how many times I’ve had nachos in one hand and a beer in the other and just walked right by the usher and sat where ever the hell I wanted to.

This is Kinja Mount Rushmore material

It pains me to say it but I absolutely love Angel Hernandez’s out signal even though he uses it improperly about 99% of the time.
