What if this thing isn’t actually doing anything but feeding back internet images.  The lens doesn’t work it is just one big fake out.

I am shocked - SHOCKED! - that no other Kinja pedants made it here before me to point out that the “proper” plural form of nebula is nebulae. I mean, the built in spell checker in this comment box is flagging ‘nebulas’ for cryin’ out loud. Ryan, as a “science writer at Gizmodo” we expect more from you. Now if you’ll

But why would I pay $8000 for this professional grade video monitor when I can buy a 65" Xihio at Walmart for $400?

Commenters: “Here’s how I feel about it for me personally regardless of the intended audience or current market”

Calling someone an insect or comparing them to insects *can* be dehumanizing, but it isn’t inherently. And it’s certainly not in Karpf’s case. Stephens’ argument is nothing but whining.

Everyone thinks they’re with the Rebellion, or worse they’re latent Jedis. The Truth is you’re not special, you’d be lucky to be a Stormtrooper. You are probably just a button masher on deck 22, no windows. Cool model of the inevitability of life.

I wont be buying this... Who am I kidding...

Was going to reply, but you did it for me. Thank you. I don’t think people realize that almost ALL free-to-play games are sustained by whales, period. The money gained from the top 1-5% of players always sustains the rest of the players, most of whom spend little to nothing on the game. I have a decade of experience

Personally I feel like they can set the prices wherever they think they will make the most profit, because the game is free. On a paid game I’m always going to be a bit more judgmental, but when the microtransactions are the only source of revenue to keep the team making it employed, it’s less of a problem for me.

I can’t tell you the number of Fortnite skins I’ve paid 2000 VBucks (the equivalent of $20) for. And everyone else on the Fortnite servers has the same skin locker I do. Are Apex players really that much more price sensitive than Fortnite players, or is this a mostly made-up controversy? Are people’s memories really

Cosmetics in games are worth exactly what players are willing to spend on them. If Respawn/EA weren’t making truckloads of cash from $11 and $18 skins, they wouldn’t be priced that high. People seem to forget that subreddits and other online forums represent just a tiny fraction of the overall player-base for

Solid proof that we are in the darkest timeline is that Olympus Has Fallen has gotten two sequels while Dredd and The Man from UNCLE get nothing and George Miller is still trying to fund another Mad Max.

Ok, cool.  But can we please get a Man from U.N.C.L.E sequel now?  That movie was awesome and the best spy action movie of the decade.

At least Marianne’s thoughts are relatively harmless, in the scheme of things.

So we’re just going to replace the Wikipedia article on the The Streisand Effect with this whole debacle, yeah?

Maybe it’s because the rest of the news is a constant grind of awfulness, but I kind of love this ongoing slapfight between Actual College Professor and The Living Avatar Of The Dunning-Kruger Effect.

Funny, they told me the opposite if i stopped holding my Marvel Comics in public i might get a girlfriend.

I played the White album backwards once. My mom screamed at me for ruining her needle. So, in one way, I did summon an angry demon.

The truth is, they are being VERY nice. There are mutilple people on a set who should have been empowered to stop the scene and get that cup out of there. Both of the actors, the assistant who brought out the coffee (who, honestly, should have been 100% on top of that cup and should have grabbed it from the actress),

Or you know, maybe don’t be so personally offended by a cup showing up for 2 seconds. It’s sad so many people are.
just a thought.
