It looks like a mishmash of a number of 3-row SUV’s that I can’t name because they’re so anonymous.

I keep getting emails from my local dealer for upwards of 10K off the sticker of a brand new V60 plus cheap financing and it’s getting harder and harder to just dismiss them. Then i look at pics of the new V60 and remember why I’m holding off.

Cars are getting more expensive while incomes aren’t rising as fast as they used to. Plus, people have a propensity to buy shit they can’t afford - especially to put a Highlander in the driveway because the rest of the cul-de-sac has one. No surprise here.

this might be the first ‘four-door coupe’ thing that isn’t totally offensive to me.

Those rear seats look like a prison.

Hoping the V60 will just be a touch bigger than the C-Wagon, at least when it comes to boot space behind the 2nd row.

I’ve been awaiting this car eagerly to replace my Impreza. I might be first in line to place an OSD order at my local dealer, no joke.

Fair enough, but I’d reckon that other factors played a role, probably chief among them is that the Outback can hold many more cubes of stuff, and price of course.

It won’t be a Polestar as in a separate trim that comes now, but it sounds like they’re still going to be tuning them and giving them the ‘Engineered by Polestar’ moniker. I for one, can’t wait.

I think that’s a shooting brake, I wouldn’t hold your breath for that one.

Poach buyers from Audi and Volvo? Unless they are going to make the interior about 20x better than every other car in the lineup that’s a laughable statement.

And there ya have it!

Yeah the TourX and V90 are nearly identical in cargo space with the seats down but with the seats up the TourX bests it by 8 cubic feet or so because of the raked hatch in the Volvo. The current V60 has nearly 30 cubic feet less cargo room with the rear seats down, but actually has more behind the 2nd row than V90 (28

The X4 is pretty bad, but the X6 and the MB version, the GLE I think?, are 10 times worse, maybe even 100 times, just mutants not long for this world.

Did you do an Overseas Delivery? If I opt for a new V60 I’m definitely going to go for OSD - I mean, why wouldn’t you?

Redesigned Volvo V60 will be revealed on Feb. 21 - worth reserving judgement until then I’d say.

Not a question, but RE: the seats. I don’t know if it made it to the Buick spec, but the ones in the Opel version of this car have a seal of approval from the Campaign for Healthy Backs, which is supported by doctors and therapists in Germany, so maybe they just need some breaking in, or they’re supposed to be like

Car companies won’t fall for this will they? There are a few sure (coughFCAcough) that will take advantage with their SUV and Pick-up lines, but most auto brands know which way the winds are blowing, right?

When I bought my Impreza from the only Subaru dealer in town at the time they were great - I dealt with a younger guy who was clearly an enthusiast (we spent a lot of time talking about the WRX’s and his STi), I went back a few times to test a few different cars and they’d just toss me the keys and tell me to go have

Have a ‘12 Impreza Limited and that is my experience as well. The CVT takes FOR-EV-ER to get anything going.
