You can’t handwave away 8 excellent episodes by saying “the ending battle sucked” (which is another discussion altogether). For everything you can say about the ancillary problems with Halo: Infinite (and there is a LOT that you can say), the game plays like a dream, and is the most fun I’ve had with Halo MP since Reach. 

8 v 8 CTF on Blood Gulch, played on theater screens in college. My team shut out a bunch of trash talking jerks 3-0. Some athletes talk about being in “The Zone”, where everything slows down, your reflexes are on point, and you can’t miss: this was me with the shotgun on this day.
