Yea, that shutter looks awfully similar to the one in my FG. Guess Nikon still uses the same design. Don't blame them though, why change what works?

When I was younger, I used to take the lens off my Nikon FG to see how the mirror/shutter mechanism works. Amazing that even in this age of digital photography, the same engineering from single-lens reflex cameras from 30+ years ago still exists. Poetry in motion.

Every six months to a year. With new versions of OS X, I always do a clean install then restore my data because it's easier. At least for me. With Windows, I hadn't done a clean install between Windows 7 and 8. That was about two or so years. Linux...not since Mint 9 was released. Should upgrade soon since Mint
