At one point there were well meaning people involved with WikiLeaks, most or all of whom left in disgust over the way Assange ran things. Assange has made very clear where his priorities lie, given that he’s refused to redact leaks that harm average people, claiming a need for transparency, but when Syrian hackers

Or ones who only show up for Russia related articles to protest Russian innocence.

Here’s the thing though - you don’t have to completely take the word of the Cia etc. Lots of non-partisan professional security firms have already presented evidence that it was the Russians. The rest is not exactly a huge leap of faith.

Real reasons intelligence agencies don’t show everyone the evidence:

“Is this a school for micromachines? It needs to be at least three times as big!”

That was one thing I loved about (US version) Super Mario 2. Peach and Toad were playable characters, each with their own strengths. There were things Peach could do that other characters couldn’t, and vice versa.

That’s just it. They’re anti contraception, and they could care less if mother and baby both starve a month after birth, as long as that ‘harlot’ gets put in her place. They’d like to go back to a time when women were forced into marriage if they got pregnant. It’s about social control and keeping ‘those sluts’ in

Oh, certainly, yes - because being a gay man isn’t the same experience. I’d certainly argue that is closer than the experience of a straight male, but the “horseshoes and hand grenades” standard applies in force there, because the power relationship between two gay men isn’t the same as the male-female one, even if

I don’t think he’s entirely off, but I definitely agree he’s missing the mark. what would be better to say, perhaps, is that most men just have no idea or understanding of how men treat women because they’ve never experienced it firsthand, and when they see it secondhand, they tend to dismiss our rationalize it away.

I’m really glad I got to see it last year. It was unfortunately raining that day, but it didn’t stop me.

If we consider it less as fascism and more as authoritarianism it makes more sense. ~70 years pretty WW2 was around when the last autocratic regimes were falling and republic/ constitutional monarchy was in vogue. By WW1 the only powers who weren’t were basically crumbling regimes on the brink of revolt (Russia,

Alamo is awesome. Definitely recommend - don’t even think about using your phone during the movie though, they are dead serious about cracking down on that. Food and drinks are good, definitely worth it.

Reminds me of when I brought my nephew a toy bullet train set from Japan. The real bullet train has gone 50-some years without a fatality. that toy bullet train? Went about 5 seconds without one, as the toy passengers went right on the tracks.

No - they were upset because he said out loud what was supposed to go unsaid. That’s the case with so much of his racist, sexist, hateful speech. They don’t disagree with it, they were just afraid it would hurt them in the election.

I remember pro-republican federal employees after 2010 that were upset their salaries got frozen and our department’s budget cut. Guess what guys, I warned you that’s what you’d get when you elect the guys to Congress that hate the government. As for me, I’m glad I left federal service fire the private sector so I

Depends - is Gandhi in the game? That jerk would do it for sure.

That’s great, at least until the Mustangs ruin it for everyone.

I voted -for- Clinton, with no hesitations or reservations. I didn’t have to hold my nose or choose the lesser evil. She’s amazingly qualified and will do a great job.

They can’t though. The law specifically says that if you’re in line when the polls close, they’re supposed to still let you vote. That isn’t any sort of voting hours extension, that’s just how voting works.

Interesting counterpoint: when I mentioned this while controversy to a Japanese friend of mine, I received a lecture on how not all Japanese people are necessarily of full (or even partial) Yamato-Jomon ethnicity anymore, frex. Miss Japan Ariana Miyamoto. while she understood the problem with Hollywood and Asian
