I too wish demos were still a thing, but I get why they’re not. And there’re plenty of resources to help you decide whether a game is worth your money. Plus there’s simple waiting. Eventually just about all PC games become discounted to lunch money. As in office cafeteria lunch money.

As far as I’m concerned, Elfman’s Batman piece is the single greatest Hero Theme ever written as it somehow manages to work in motifs that signal to nearly every aspect of what makes Batman great.

Demos were pretty great back in the day. Even if you thought you were up to speed and then some on Sysreqs, a demo would help you figure out what you’d need to update or what you want to update for max performance. It wouldn’t be perfect, but it was something.

Whew. That makes much more sense. I’m not against DRM per se, but if I can buy it through GoG I will. They’ll never completely stop pirates, but I’m cool with slowing them down and/or discouraging them. I’ve only done it one time, and I used it as a demo, and later bought the game. I wish demos were still a thing.

Can you show how Denuvo interfered with PC performance? I wasn’t able to find evidence of that, besides the old claim that SSD quality could be hit. So far as I know, that was actually found to be a problem with the game.

Used to play and will continue to abstain from.

I’m having real trouble playing this game, because on ultra I just keep stopping and panning the camera around and muttering “holy shit” like a madman.

This is sooo true. I lived in TX pretty much my whole life. Sometimes tourist would come into my work for directions. They would ask where the indians live, how many horses I have, etc etc .
