To be frank with you, my mother was like this. I was born in 1965, my parents were born in the 30's. I got into a heated argument w/ my mother once about why she treated us the way she did and her honest answer was ‘I didnt have an easy life so why should you?’ Thats pretty messed up, but they arent kidding.
