In the Metaverse, a female user who says a male user chased her avatar and simulated groping and ejaculating on her, claims that when she asked him to stop, “He shrugged as if to say: ‘I don’t know what to tell you. It’s the Metaverse—I’ll do what I want.’ Then he walked away.””

I wonder if this judge would consider 5 months “plenty” if it was someone near and dear to him who had woken up to being smothered and raped.

As you say, it’s already existing idea to get virtually married. The metaverse will make it much more mainstream. There’ll soon be official digital versions of every monument, historic or aesthetically beautiful location you could imagine.

Dunno as a chubby 2000's kid, it resonated with me. Besides, it’s just logical that a trend for 70's maxi dresses are a lot more friendly to all shapes and sizes then the 00's Avril look in the slideshow. So glad there are more options now, that era was painful for my fashion options :S

Christ I’m so glad I live somewhere with famously lovely tap water.

As Katya Z. once put it (I paraphrase) - When are we going to stop dragging this poor woman’s corpse around for entertainment?

Strange how this is better acknowledged in Bollywood then Hollywood. At least in those circles the realisation that darker skinned people are being marginalised isn’t debated, just accepted. You know, because it does happen, and is a problem.

The most oppressed group of all are the taxpayers!

Did you see what Milo Y is up to now? I’d forgotten about him, but apparently Milo’s latest scam is to renounce his gayness, find god and open a Christian straight conversion camp. As internet comment etiquette Eric said - “it’s the ultimate heel turn” - (he claims it’s satire, but honestly I wouldn’t be surprised if

I’d say it’s more like a video of a girl in a bikini welding a big girder. Sure you can, but should you? No. Any person could hazard a guess that you need goggles and gear to be safe, but the activity is just esoteric enough that an uninformed person could think it’s fine to do.

Starbucks is another corporate offender here. The bit about the clocks being covered, with no windows, got my self-diagnosed PTS(tarbucks)D going.

I second.

Taboo is one of the only motivators of long term social change. Not too long ago driving after having a drink (whilst not wearing a seatbelt) was totally normal. Then public shaming ensues. Now drink driving is widely vilified. Why should we assume the same wouldn’t work for making people behave in covid appropriate

Take away from this story - Just cause the royals give you a fancy plaque, celebrating that you’ve worked for them. Don’t think that that you’re any more secure in your work then in a standard zero hours contract job.

Dr. Biden could have done her PHD in the study of the Star wars franchise or flower arranging. If she did the work and earned the title, that’s what you address her by. Anything less is extremely disrespectful.

rA-ISE? What is this mystical term? Seriously? Where do you live, and can I move there? Over here there are plenty entry level jobs, aimed at young people. Except that it’s nearly always a stepping stone to something else, no progression available.

The dread of separate beds is real. I’m not even a boomer but the idea of a my partner choosing to sleep apart is so bizarre and dread filled to me, and I don’t know why. The only scenario that makes it seem normal is ancient couples sleeping apart for health reasons. XD

I sleep much better with my partner snuggled in.....Unfortunately their sleep schedule/quality is often is the casualty in this arrangement.

Ever see that r/diwhy, where some schmuck cuts a bunch of books in half to create a “faux” shelf of books.... yeah I’m picturing something like that for the Trump library

Now this. This is the scary stuff. Not this reddit faux scary nonsense.
