A Total Piece Of Shit

lol naw, I liked his character and thought it was a pretty realistic portrayal of a guy whose daughter died years ago and suddenly found himself having to take care of a teenage girl.  Especially a guy who grew up in the ‘50s and was seemingly in Nam.

People love his rage when they need some Russians mowed down with a machine gun, but as soon as it makes them a little bit uncomfortable they turn against him on a dime. That sort of killer aggression isn’t some sort of switch you just flip on and off whenever you want. They needed it to survive.

People seems to just gloss over that they were laughing in his face while he was putting himself out there emotionally with that letter that seemed to make everyone cry later.

Yeah I respectfully disagree with this completely. I found Hopper’s behavior to be a new father who would have struggled with a teenage daughter (as many do IRL) in even the best of circumstances, and their circumstances are hardly ideal.

Hopper’s still great. He’s been through some shit. Likely has PTSD from all the world saving and upside down visiting. Flawed hero who is trying to keep everything together in an increasingly insane world.

Counterpoint.

This sizzling hot take brought to you by someone who’s never had a smug little teenage shit disrespect him in his own home. I’ve banned one of my son’s friends from my house for a year for lying to my face about washing his hands after he used the bathroom (I can hear the bathroom sink from the kitchen you little

Yeah, he’s a flawed hero. It’s kind of a trope for this type of show..... It was also kind of an overarching theme for this season in particular. Nearly every main character was show as flawed this season, from Mike’s jealousy, to Will’s unwillingness to let go of the past, Steve’s broken hearted and loneliness, it

Don’t know where the buyer is from, but packages from non-EU countries into the EU need a Customs Declaration Form, these aren’t exactly super secret sealed. I think all international packages need one.

Not sure what you mean, this is all Magic the Gathering.

It’s funny because usually Floyd is the one knocking people on their back. Though they are often women.

Floyd being his usual cocky-ass self: “Watch me stick this pro baller. Money got this.”

I largely agree with you. The tweet itself is harmless and, in its own way, kinda sweet.

Born in 82.  Absolutely HATED All That.  Nothing was less funny.

How much of the 90s did you have to be a kid for to be a kid of the 90s? 25%? 50%? 100%? I was born in 1980, so I was definitely a kid when the 90s started, though I remember some of the late 80s pretty well. I thought All That was insipid and painfully unfunny and never watched it. But I loved watching old SNL

Agree. And it creates a rallying point to start from. If all we fight for is equal pay for star athletes and actors, it's a real problem. But it's easier to point to something that already gets people's blood pumping and build off that momentum than it is to cold start empathy for factory workers.

While I see what you’re saying, this is far too good of an opportunity to pass up. I think it’s actually showing that “excellence” is a myth, because even AFTER achieving so much, they are STILL refused pay. If anything, using this as an example quells the stupid idea that somehow it’s all a meritocracy and women just

The Shape of Water?

I love how “rational” people like this love to throw out baseless slurs the moment they can’t argue their points...
