Just went back and watched that part of the episode - the only family she mentions loosing was 2 brothers, her father and uncle to the crows.

I just went back and watched the Hardhome part of the episode and the family she mentioned she lost was to the Crows, not the walkers.

I don’t think so, especially if at least one, if not more, was one of her dead children (as many people are thinking).

I challenge your “maternal instinct” and say it was parental instinct.
