Agreed. COVID-19 is not some persistent aerosol that is randomly distributed throughout the environment and can strike at any time. It’s not a toxic gas, or radioactive ash, or a bioweapon designed to kill as widely as possible. It doesn’t exist in the air around your car as you drive along.

As a person who loves technology and hates lines, I am overjoyed at the conjunction of those two things when grocery shopping. That said, as technology replaces more and more jobs, it bolsters the argument for creating UBI.
