For the same money you can grab an E55 AMG with the beak nose and it wont look outdated. With that said this is one nice car. I have a thing for this generation AMG v8's with the supercharger. I think between 90-110k miles is the sweet spot in price/maintenance for this era benz. They are also gasp reliable, as long Read more

My fathers 2012 explorer. Ford used some sort of screw to fasten the darn rotors to the hubs in the rear. No problem I thought, I have the torx bit to remove it. The head of the torx screw strips leaving a gummy mess. I figured why not try to cut a slot into it and use my large screwdriver. Out comes the grinder, cut Read more

There hasent been a revolutionary power plant to come out of japan since the 1990's. They are consistently behind in IC design these days, are behind in EV design and implementation as well, its only so far remaking the same nicad powered prius will take you. Its the vicious cycle of the car industry. Someone has to Read more

It would not be the subway unless it ran late and smelled like urine/feces..... I should know. I have been taking the subway since before the metrocard was a thing. I still have one of the tokens from the 90's....

Very nice. I love bringing back old cars to live again. While the choice of the 300zx is not one I would make it is awesome you brought a car you love back. Enjoy it and drive it. If you don’t want to do this again in 2 years drive it often. Cars that are driven often have less issues.

Gtr drive line cannot handle 1000hp or better to say the nearly 1000lb of torque that v8 could potentially put out. . GTR initially had transmission failure problems until they neutered launch control.

I have two questions. Will it come with duct tape pre installed? Is the “cash, ass or grass. Nobody rides for free” stick an option? Read more

I have been chipping away at restoring a similar vintage tool room lathe. It was in a flood and the whole thing rusted shut. I must have taken out 10LB of grime/rust/scale out of the thing. I have been trying oil for the bolts, most times it works. I soak the parts in used 5w-20 from when I changed the oil in my car. Read more

This article reminds me of another article that I read way back when I got my first mustang. A store manager had one of these and two guys tried to cra jack him in the parking lot. Apparently the guy glued a gun holster under the steering column of his s197 right near the ignition. When the driver reached under to get Read more

I have seen rust like that before. This is not so much from salty roads, its from being parked on dirt and grass for extended periods of time. If the car was driven, it would not have been this bad. Moisture gets trapped under the body of cars that are parked on dirt/grass and it eats away at the metal. You have now Read more

Wonder if they went turbo this time around. 1000HP guess. AWD of any form would explode from the stress from something like that.

There is no cheap way to make a clean diesel. Period. Diesel engines by nature are dirty beasts. Same thing happened and is continuing to happen to oil heat for homes. Today’s oxygenated gasoline is not as fuel efficient, but is worlds cleaner, however when you take into consideration of the economy difference and Read more

Expect to pay about 3-5K less than sticker for a loaded explorer if your lucky. Most dealers are only going 2-3down. With that said the explorer is much more car than most think. They are also relatively trouble free. Something none of the VW line can say.

Sounds like VW is stepping on Audi territory. The q3/q5 are about the same price or within 5 of it. If your going to spend over 40K, might as well get an Audi IMHO.

Lets just hope GM pushes this vehicle and actually puts in some effort. GM is the Google of cars, they release things that are initially good and good on paper, then drop the ball on availability and bug fixes.
