Unpopular opinion: Season 2 was terrible, and the show absolutely should’ve been cancelled. Hayley Atwell is fantastic and should get a lot more work, but the show was clearly wasting her talents.

So basically, she is strongly hinting that were Netflix to pick it up, she’d be in.
Possibly unpopular opinion: I think Agent Carter would work so much better in the same format as UK Sherlock. Three 90 minute episodes with self contained stories that add up to a single arc per season, completely irregular gaps between seasons.
Something tells me you’ll be unhappy with whatever the final result is.
me and my wallet irl
I still miss Trip, and 10 episodes of Unreal was not nearly enough B.J. Britt!
Fuck LMD Grant Ward, I want LMD Trip! He got a shout-out last night and I still miss him.
I tried, but as soon as “Sokovia Accords” came out out of someone’s mouth I had to shut it off because this “same universe” stuff is bullshit because you know the movies give two shits about the show and the latter just hangs by the table waiting for scraps pretending they’re actually part of the dinner.
The RPG-Hell Charger-car flip bit was lifted directly from the comic. (Worth checking out for Tradd Moore’s insane pencils alone IMO)
Actually, it’s the other way around - they made no secret of her Chinese heritage in the first season as SHIELD agents found her in a destroyed Chinese village. It was only in season two that we found out that her father was Caucasian.
Hmm. Making films just for China seems like an overreaction. China does need to change. The growth of their economy is often overstated (by, surprise!) by the government. They’ve built cities and high rises that few people can afford or even bother to live in. (Google “China ghost city” or just click here: https://www.…
The character had an American father and a Chinese mother. The actress has a Chinese father and an American mother. Wow, that sounds like they were trying to go for being pretty authentic!
I’m not saying racism in Hollywood doesn’t exist.
Pena’s character is actually rather interesting. Aside from basing him on someone Pena actually knows, there’s also his (and at least a couple of his relatives’) love for fine art, which bucks the sterotype.
She looked very mixed to me from the beginning. I’m Asian but grew up around a lot of European Americans. I would never pin her for completely ethnically European.
I don’t really think assuming a biracial person is white is a good excuse for thinking a cast is full of white people. Maybe if you get into the show and they seem to whitewash the actor and give them a whole family full of white actors it makes sense. But I don’t generally think it’s a good excuse when people do it…
Well her not knowing her parentage/ancestry was sort of her whole driving force so theres the reason for not revealing it...
That would be Dichen Lachman...
On the complete opposite end of the spectrum, Marvel decided to take The Mandarin.....and make it Guy Pearce (spoiler alert).
