Man has adequate budget to purchase three or four family cars, even in today’s market. New Legacy, CX-5 or 9, and a Maverick and still would be under budget. Toss in a preowned Boxster for the lolz.

You make a good point. Any top-trim Ford, Subaru, Mazda, VW, etc will give you more features than a comparably priced BMW, will likely be more reliable, and will hold value better.

Subaru Outback XT Touring. There’s only 52 within 500 miles of me per Autotrader, which is up from about 23 only a few weeks ago. 

I’ve historically always purchased cars from 250+ miles away (new and used) and will refuse to get an imperfect combination. Right now I’m trying to grab a new car at a dealer 375 miles away because it’s one of the very few in the country right now.

Totally…propane tanks are the one item that has a solid value of $30-40 regardless of age or condition.

I totally agree man. We talked about this before during the Oppo days, because I was 97% ready to buy a GX470. Ended up with a LR4.  I still have a soft spot for the GX but it was hard to find a good one for sale, since everyone wants to keep them :P
