Paul Reiser’s Dr. Owens was a breath of fresh air: A scientist who wasn’t evil and was trying to do the right thing by learning about the hole, and who’s goal was to close the darn thing up. His bravery and protection of the kids he interacted with was very human. Hope to see him next season.

I think this is amazing. I bet the operator homed his skills playing video games. While I would not want to be his neighbor I’m shocked by his skill.

The original Mummy, Dracula and Frankenstein were groundbreakers and introduced (mostly) the characters with class, good writing, superior camera work, and a scare. Unfortunately, Universal started the reboot with an a film wholly dependent on CGI action. There was little respect to what made the classics a classic.…
