> and frequently do that thing where you go one way down a dungeon and after like twenty seconds go “wait, I think this is the critical path, let’s check the other route to make sure I didn’t miss anything.”

People waste times in lots of unique ways.

I really thought this was going to end in the dealer turning up either 4 clubs or 4 diamonds giving Labatt the flush, or a 9-10-J-Q giving Labatt and Zhu a split pot straight.

Suck an egg, dweeb.

People don’t sign on to be victims of evil overlords in real life, what’s your point?

So we’re at a point in society where you need consent to play games the way you want.

They consented the moment they decided to play a multiplayer game with these features.

As an Android user I look forward to google pushing this initiative SUPER hard for a year and then completely abandoning it

As someone who has put extensive time into the 3DS versions of Pokémon Rumble World, Pokémon Picross, and over 400 hours into Pokémon Shuffle, Pokémon Quest might be the worst FTS game the brand has put out. It is flat out terrible in every way.

Game makers have completely forgotten the “always leave them wanting more” axiom, and have gotten into the “how many hours can we pack into this game” arms race instead.

To be fair... the “death from over work” (Karoshi) ‘line’ is just 60 hours per week of work. I say “just” because I’m an attorney at an American firm, and I (and most people I know) regularly work more than 60 hours per week on average.

“We apologize for not allowing crossplay. Unfortunately, our gamers are too busy playing our vast library of first party titles instead of the same shit that’s on every other system.”

Yeah those engineers will be just fine if they quit, there is a severe shortage of software, hardware and network engineers. So they will be able to find new work in two weeks or less.

Gross generalizations are not rules. Just because some people get addicted to something doesn’t make that thing addictive.

lol Still not feeling bad. You choose to do a job (in most parts of the world). Where is that bleeding heart for other jobs? Easy compared to a lot of jobs out there that pay 1% of what he’s taking in. Get on camera and dance that’s what you are paid to do and people want it.

As others have said, the issue isn’t in not having had anything to show, but having built the conference up as if it would contain huge reveals (particularly with that “stay until the very end” bit at the conference itself), and then essentially passing off a couple of minor announcements along with a whole bunch of

“If its not ready to show, its not ready.” - then why show it 3 years ago in 2015?
