Oh, there’s no question that they avoid doing it - but it can be done, and it is done (especially if there’s a meltdown like this one that’s only affecting one carrier). They’ll do that before they put you up in a hotel, usually.

Not only that - the most important thing is that they have reaccomodation agreements with each other. American can put you on United if they have to. Spirit (and Southwest, actually) can’t do that.

Seriously. If you want first class service, pay for first class. Cheap is cheap. What do you expect?

Here we go again, huh?

Yep. Wouldn’t be surprised if Sony retains ownership of these (even if money changed hands to get them).

I live around the corner and drive through there all the time. I’ve lost track of how many shenanigans I’ve observed there.

Ditto. And I live in Philadelphia.

Man, do I wish I was an admiralty lawyer right about now.

The liability of pilots is often limited by law (including in the United States). I’m sure Egypt has something similar.

The Salton Sea is one of the most fascinating—and depressing—places I’ve ever been to.

Seriously. Every time I read about some billionaire’s yacht, I think about the United States and what I’d do if I had that kind of money.

...Hummer is #3?

I’m willing to pay $300/year not to drive a Corolla.

Phenomenal. You owe me a new keyboard.

Ridiculous protectionist garbage.

Curiously, I think American courts wouldn’t agree either. From what I recall, there’s a pilot liability limitation statute out there.

The captain of the vessel has final authority, so, there’s no question that they bear some responsibility.

Hah. Apologies for the jargon. It’s one of these:

Yeah, that tracks with my understanding.

Are they actually banned by NHTSA? I thought they just weren’t required. Our USDM P38 has rear fog lights.
