I’ve read the bible more times than I can count. I mention specific passages, because I know those passages exist, and are relevant.

Bible translation, at least, is plagued by a cult-like adherence to formal equivalence, which gives rise to massive, widespread connotative errors that only get worse over time as the English language changes, not to mention the complete loss of linguistic nuance... for which no attempt is made to preserve.

My initial point was that you ought to read the books for yourself. You haven’t done that. You’re taking lines from internet sites and the Skeptics Annotated Bible, but you definitely aren’t reading the Bible itself, or you’d never say any of these things:
