Definitely worth the semi-long train ride out there. Beautiful area with beautiful homes!
A couple of years ago. My favorite part of it is the bone in the shuttle. The artist (a friend of mine) adlibbed that one in the wee hours of the morning. We were beyond amused by it, haha!
If it takes you 30 minutes to make a sandwich, you likely have other problems in your life beyond trying to save a little money. Sheesh.
Good to see Laika getting some love - here’s my tattoo of her.
Give it a few months. The market will get over it and stabilize as it has with every other car scandal. GMC is still selling. Toyota is still selling.
“BUT WHAT ABOUT THE CHILDREN?”
A lot of states don’t require emissions testing, so the scenario you laid out (in which every TDI moves to the poster’s state) isn’t going to happen.
Not to be all hipster or whatev, but hipster bashing is so 5 years ago.
... OEM expansion tanks run like $40. Now to get it installed, I could see a dealer charging $500.
DEATH TO NEUTRALS.
No idea. I’ve never bought a new car. I would check the manual first, though.
I honestly don’t have a clue. My “newest” car is a 2008 A3, which has a different engine and built on a different platform than the latest GTI. I suggest checking out the forums (vwvortex) as they’ll have much more specific information.

What a way to discourage masses of people from learning something. Sheesh. I hadn’t even changed oil on my car until I hit 29. A year later, I have a crazy amount of tools and I can handle all required maintenance (oil, filters, brakes, plugs, etc.) on my car (other than the timing belt service - but I’ll learn that…
We don’t have a deal with them.
Good, honest work. Also: that shifter knob is a total trendsetter.
“Follow up question: Where are all the fun cops?”
CUVs are just hatchbacks/wagons that are slightly taller, slightly lifted, and have slightly bigger wheels. My A3 next to this Q3 confirms.
Same old, same old. The constant “BMW owners are jerks who don’t understand turn signals!” and “Audi makes boring cars that all look alike” comments are beyond played out. Seriously. It’d be nice to see some originality in the blanket generalizations made about brands/owners of brands.
