They retired the Sonic Shades after Clara’s departure. He’s back to the Screwdriver. Again, the whole “cool” conceit was the Doctor doing his “bad at goodbyes” bit. Whether it was seeing Clara less and less, knowingly heading towards a death trap, or Clara’s death, last season was one existential crisis after another

I thought that was the point? The Doctor is an old man, Capaldi’s Doctor even world-wearier than usual. I thought the guitars and shades were sort of an on-the-nose poke at the Doctor’s existential crisis.

Most people aren’t watching movies with the intent to analyze and deconstruct even their most obvious themes (and most creators would prefer it stay that way) which is why articles and videos that do will always have an audience.

Hey, remember the last time the food-producing part of the Union tried to secede? Went great.

Those are all things that the New 52 Joker has actually done.

Considering that From’s next game is supposedly scifi, you’ll likely get your wish.

Bell pepper, onion, and CELERY. The Trinity is holy for a reason.

Why the hell isn’t Nathan Fillion on the short list for Hal Jordan?

Beautiful original matte paintings chopped out. Entire special effects shots replaced. Puppet creatures disappeared. It’s historical, creative arson.

Watch Mob Psycho 100. It does everything OPM does except better and had probably the strongest art direction of last year.

No one says Tatooine in A New Hope and it figures a lot more prominently than Mustafar does in R1. So it’s not like it’s without precedent.

While I agree the color grading is too aggressively ugly (maybe it looks better printed), I don’t think the image needs to darkened to the degree you have. The original movie didn’t use generic “spooky” mood lighting. Rather, it relied on impossible space and dream logic portrayed in the normal light of day to make

I’m a Moffat apologist for the most part, but I think we’re past due for a changing of the guard.

Now playing

Bullshit. You say “enhancement,” I hear artistic arson. Film history shouldn’t be so casually tossed aside.

How the rebels got the plans should have been the ancillary plot to Jyn Erso’s emotional journey, not the other way around.
