Yep. And going smaller is a great way to up your horsepower numbers. A smaller reciprocating mass and shorter stroke means more RPMs, which means more horsepower for the same amount of torque. For example, the pictured engine makes approximately 300 ft. lbs. at 21000 rpms to get 1200 horsepower.

Can’t unsee.

Because horsepower is really a measure of torque. The V8 makes more torque per revolution than the 2.7. As a result, the 2.7 must do more work to make up the difference. Unfortunately, internal combustion engines aren’t efficient, and most of the work ends up wasted in heat and exhaust.

As a prime member, I order maybe $1000 from Amazon in any given month. Aside from the occasional blip, I get what I ordered within a reasonable time.

You have it all wrong. It’s Elon Musk’s tunnel. For him. It’ll revolutionize the way billionaires travel. It’s as simple as buying a boring machine and drilling your own subterranean highway system.  It’s goddamn genius.

Anything with fresh undercoat. That stuff hides a lot of really awful rot. I’ve seen this from dealers (on Jeeps even), with brand new state inspection stickers and soft floors.

The entire purpose of a photo “together” is to be together.  Unfortunately, one typically focuses on the picture taker, not the position of ones hand or the other party.

Ever been hit by a drone? Yeah... violation of the laws. It has a camera, onboard intelligence, and failed to take action to avoid harming a human.

And Griffons, if I’m not mistaken.

I’m just here to teach you the consequences of being wrong on the internet.  No need for the sarcasm.

Was the deer going 70 mph when you hit it?

Do not buy a Land Cruiser. The new ones are full of so much bugged out tech you’ll hate life. The nicest thing about it... the heated steering wheel. The worst thing about... the constantly crashing radio, dash, seat adjuster, and alarm system.

Tire carrier mounted third eye brake lights (high mounted stop lamp) must be the exception, since the Jeep has had them for decades.

As a Cherokee owner, I completely disagree. Carpet is what keeps the trans tunnel from cooking your leg on the way to the trail, and keeps the interior from reaching temperatures generally reserved for roasting meats when on the trail.

Yep. I had a Toyota (Chevy) Nova from 1986. When I got it in 1994, it was already badly faded.

Are you using an air conditioner as a fan?  That’s not really how air conditioners work.  You have to vent the heat OUTSIDE the building you’re trying to cool.  Otherwise it becomes a heater.

And I’d bet that’s the GM 6600 IFS.

Hard to tell from the angle, but I believe that’s a GM 14 bolt rear.  Got the ring offset to the right.

Between emissions requirements, and the NHTSA, you can’t import “basic” vehicles anymore. It’s one of the reasons why buggies and side-by-sides are so popular now. They don’t need to pass highway safety or emissions requirements.

Giant diesel electric trains have had a similar system for years. Basically it allows them to use waste energy to provide additional boost while climbing up hills.
