The power possible in an EV basically comes down to the power (not energy) density of the batteries. Each kg of a battery is good for 300-1500W of power. If you’ve got a bigger battery (or a chemistry optimized for the 1500W/kg instead of 300W/kg), you’ll have more power available.

The irony of a cop saying someone else has a hall monitor vibe.

So while Pokemon Go’s mention is just for clicks, the list of games that use Unity as a base is only getting larger and we could see some interesting things shoved into that head unit to take advantage of that.

This will never not be funny to me:

With the present offer, none. Except maybe this one.

The EV that interests me the most is converting an existing non-ev and make it one so I can enjoy an older car for decades to come and not be pressured to drive something contemporary like everyone else.

Looks like a 370z that got banged by a Cybertruck.

60% of electricity in the US is sourced from fossil fuels, so I don’t think that E85 is any more carbon unneutral than using an EV. Also, let’s not talk about Lithium mining and battery disposal or recycling; that will be Gen Alpha’s problem to fix.

I’m just impressed that David turned being that weird old guy down the road whose yard is full of car parts and who is always covered in oil into a career.

It wasn’t a joke; that’d be weird. It was necessary context.

Somewhere, deep within the steel and concrete labyrinth that is Troy Michigan’s Zoning and Housing annex (Inspections and Enforcement wing), a grizzled man slumps into his chair. Tracy, D. - case file TM - 18-22/JP-Fe2-O3 had meant so... so damn much to him.

I know it’s been covered before, elsewhere, and probably more coherently, but: if car companies are collecting enough data on me that they’re concerned for my safety if it’s accessible, then they’re collecting too much data.

That’s some paperboy shit right there.

I have a nice idea how to fix this “problem”. Exactly 5 minutes before the qualifying/race starts a coin is flipped. The coin decides if the oval is going to be driven clockwise or counterclockwise. The cars cannot be modified in any way after the direction has been decided.

The grid issue is a ton easier for a battery swap.
