You don’t need an elite consulting job to find yourself in a situation where your employer expects you to work 60-90 hours a week and/or nights, weekends, and holidays and/or otherwise sacrifice home and family to work. In fact, many/most people at the opposite end of the spectrum find themselves in that position.

You’re not alone, and that’s one of the biggest problems the South faces. There ARE atypical southerners—especially in the Millenial generation—that liberal people from the rest of the country really need to start supporting, rather than shitting on. If you (not you, the general you) want the South to change, you’re

“We are not the bad guys, we are out here protecting the community”

Respectfully, you are missing complexity and and nuance. Yes you are wrong.

I’m sorry, but he was already engaged. To me.

I had a horrible mouth when I was a kid (I called my sister the c-word on multiple occasions), and I would NEVER use racial slurs. You can’t say shit like that and then try to claim you’re not racist.

When I was in high school ppl were actively mad that I was tops in every class. We had teachers who’d either decline to give an award for the highest average (which was a standard prize for us on our awards day, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd highest grades got honored) OR plenty of teachers who’d just say fuck it and give it to

This is going to be a strong sentiment but here goes.

Christ, aren’t the crybaby white people who complain in the linked article fucking tired of reiterating the same whiny garbage by now? I GET IT CRYBABIES, YOUR FEE-FEES GET HURT IF PEOPLE OTHER THAN WHITE MALES ARE AT THE CENTER OF POWER AND ATTENTION!!!

This is what I shared on my FB page a couple weeks ago:

Even if you were besties with this “black girl in [your] class,” you have no idea why Columbia accepted her and not you. Maybe it was because she was black and the school was selecting for diversity.

But maybe her parents were less involved than yours and she had to navigate school on her own. Maybe she was the first

Yes, I know. These asshole act like none of use can read and like we are waltzing in Harvard, MIT, and Princeton with 10s on the ACT or whatever. Such racist dicks. Why don’t med schools look like HBCUs. Why do they think they can climb to the top stepping on our throats.

You do realize that a)white legacy kids get in with WAY less than that and b) the application process is wholistic, and includes essays, interviews, and teacher recommendations. Judging by how entitled you come across in your post here, I can pretty much assume that you had a similar tone in your application process.

I’m so tired of racist assholes acting like black people who can’t read are just coasting into elite universities and graduate schools. He’s an asshole. Many programs have just a handful of black people, and it’s rare to find the ones that have percentages that reflect our numbers in the US population. What the fuck

This is anecdotal but I find that some minorities try to degrade and belittle other minorities as a way of improving their standing in the eyes of the White establishment. It’s like they’re saying “See, my race/ethnic group isn’t like those lazy, greedy, stupid other minorities. We feel your pain white people!”
