No mention of this film can be complete without country music legend and all round cool guy Dwight Yokams performance as the prison warden. He also is behind the greatest Game of Thrones George RR Martin joke ever.

The elaborate voicemail prank was always one of my favorite reoccuring jokes.  I'm so glad it came back with a vengeance.

It just dawned on me that Jessie Buckleys character is probably based on serial killer Jane Toppan. A colorful murderess who poisoned patients at a hospital and got in bed with them as they died. She wanted to see the soul leave the body, and she might have done other things to the corpse. She was originally from Read more

I remember.  Where Charlie becomes Frank Serpico.  But I'd like an episode where Mac becomes an actual cop for a day and fucks everything up while also being awful.

Yep.  Quite an interesting obscure figure.

Absolutely.  The characters were pretty damn great, even if seeing a press secretary say she doesn't want to lie brings a tear to my eye at the suggestion.

Ive been rewatching the show and honestly Allison Janney was the best character.  She's wonderful.

Well it probably is the best Country Music film ever made.  It had everything from cameos from legends and current stars and featured songs from the founders like Maybelle Carter and Jimmie Rogers.  Its a film thats grown on me so much.

That doesn't shock me.  And after the 60s she stopped aging.  From the 1970s to now she more or less looks the same.

Oh so I'm not crazy.  Manchurian Canidate also throws me for a loop because I swear she looks late 50s early 60s.
