That’s exactly my point. It was financial suicide last time too as no amount of fuel savings was ever going to be anywhere close to the losses taken in depreciation. It didn’t stop people from doing it. I don’t wish any ill will toward them. I wish for more financial literacy.
In my mind, I’m excluding crossovers and focusing more on actual SUV’s (and large trucks). Those are the vehicles that got abandoned in droves the last time gas got to a certain price.
It’s a song. Lighten up.
I wonder how much this would change if gas was close to $5.00 per gallon. It seems in the past that people who are poor at math (most of America) would take a huge loss selling their gas guzzling SUV to buy a new more fuel-efficient car. If gas goes up again, will this happen or will people get better at math?
Should have pointed and laughed at the parent and shamed her instead. Way to set your kid up for some fun in school in the name of being trendy.
Fair enough.
It’s a wagon you can order with a manual transmission. It could come with only 3 of the four wheels attached, and it would be popular here.
Jezebel calling someone out on journalistic integrity and fact-checking is the new definition of ironic.
How is it ageism if the other party leaders chosen are the same age or older? Does everything have to be an ism if someone isn’t picked?
In case FreshlyShaven dismisses my post:
This wasn’t hidden.
A sex bot can’t consent anymore than my car can consent to be driven. It’s a ludicrous concept, and just diminishes the actual issues with consent.
So, snailships posts:
“Except facts aren’t on your side so you just lie and there’s no point in debating someone who doesn’t argue in good faith.🖕is all you deserve”
I respond with actual facts:
Stop me when you see a lie. A group of migrants, who are required to seek asylum in the first country they reach, have instead stated their intentions to not stop until they reach the United States. This is in direct contravention to a ruling by the European Court of Justice ruling that upholds the United Nations…
You understand that the Kochs are pushing for as many immigrants as possible to push down labor prices, right?
It’s the only argument they have. They don’t have facts or the law on their side and argue with emotion anyway. All that’s left is to call names and threaten (then commit) violence.
It can’t ever be that simple. People seem to have a need to control what others think, feel, and do about every single aspect of their lives. They can’t trust the individual to make the decision for themselves or they’ve lost the fight to insert themselves into every conversation.
What self-respecting bear wants to be seen in or near a Prius?
Thanks. I was trying not to get wheels since the expense for wheels and tires on a short-term vehicle was going to be pretty high. I asked about a bigger sidewall as I blew one tire last year on a pothole with 275/35/19's. The price they quoted ($1500) was for 235/45/19 tires since they couldn’t find any with a 35…
