Average Joe doesn’t need a 3D printer. It’s the makers and the tinkerers and the hobbyists that need them. And we’re not going to pay 4-figures for closed-source equipment.

This is Bing’s problem, not Apple’s. I mean, clearly if a moderated Bing .gif search leads to porn, something is not set right. Apple can’t just keep playing whack a mole with search terms, there eventually won’t be any words left that aren’t entendres for other dirty things. They’ll have to figure out how to create

Um, this isn’t an Apple library. It’s just a deeply embedded Bing image search. It even says so before you type any search terms in.

Jalopnik has never been an “Aggregated News Site.” It’s a blog. Some stuff is aggregated news, some stuff is hot takes and opinion, some stuff is legit journalism.

See this year’s PB winners. “Welp, if we gotta have headlights fenders doors and bumpers, might as well make ‘em look sexy af.”

Sounds like he got to the top of third. I don’t know how fast that is on a Speed3, but it’s movin.

I think that’s an excuse, and a poor one. Some of the best, sexiest design choices of any era of car design were brought about because of trying to make production compromises and safety regulations look good.

I wonder if anyone who currently designs cars ever thinks to themselves “Ya know, this’ll win Pebble in 70 years.”

...because after reading it, parsing it, trying to unpack it or decode it, we still can’t figure out how it’s germane to the theme of the blog, so we’re asking in the only public forum we have (the comments) in the hopes that the author or editors will answer back and give us some insight into why they thought this

You don’t think

Which is fine to use as long as you have the cloak of Ban’Daeed handy. Just in case.

The LEDs alone cost more than $20 (they come on a longer roll with a power supply, etc) and explain how he’s a sham for wanting to get paid for his time as a craftsman and professional? $200 for a handmade object seems pretty reasonable, especially one like this.

Really? $200 for a handmade object like this is too much? How much is his time worth to you? Think about it. If it takes 5 hours to make (which would be insanely fast to make all the cuts, build the armature, install the wiring, assemble and finish everything, package and ship it to you) his time cost only $40/hr.

I’m in DC. We have the Worst Traffic™. The one thing that we can actually do is zipper merge.

Sure, there are likely plenty of deaths from driving, skydiving, backhoeing, bombardiering, jenga playing, and Dave Matthewsing while high on weed.

The XBOne has been out for a couple of years now... I don’t think you could legitimately call anyone who owns it an “Early Adopter” anymore; not in the sense that people who bought one when it first came out are now wishing they’d waited.

It’s definitely the stepper motors singing. I have an X-Carve and without the spindle running I can make it do something very similar. Some people have even figured out how to make G-Code that plays a song.

I think the bigger point is that Biden et. al. plagiarized from within their own party. Lots of people are pointing out the ways that Obama, Biden, Clinton, etc all took bits and pieces from other Democrats for their speeches. Melania, wife of the Republicanest Republican that ever Republicanned, took parts of her

Many of the parts are manufactured by third parties off-site and shipped into the factory for assembly. However, in this particular episode they did go into detail about a couple of things BMW makes in-house. Specifically the brake rotors and diff ring gear.
