Yes... but it should really be named the Celica. A RWD 4 cyl coupe is what the Celica originally was.

Because they still think that young people will be drawn to a younger brand.
The 86 is definitely a better name, though the badges always remind me of the swastika, which is probably not a great association to have.
Obviously the FR-S is not a bad car, excellent in fact, but why don't they just sell it as the GT86?
I wonder if they will run into the Porsche quandary where their entry level performance machine (M2; Cayman) might actually be better than [one of] their mainstay[s] (M3/4; 911) and people begin to wonder whether the baby of the range would be better than its bigger brother if their manufacturer didn't limit the…
Well, I bought this one. Come at me stereotypes.
Fair enough. The important thing is that we both made the nomination. Great minds think alike! I was so pissed after that wreck that I sent a scathing email to Waltrip's website.
Beltoise is more of a journeyman driver and has a lot of experience... and in that case either way it was McNish driving like he was on the last lap chasing down the leader on the like 4th lap of the race. Not the Ferrari drivers fault at all.
If you recall watching this live, they could not find Rockenfeller for several minutes after the incident, he was sheltering in place in the forest next to the track.
I don't know many gentleman drivers but I nominate Robert Kauffman. He was the Ferrari driver in Mike Rockenfeller's crash at Le Mans in 2011.

Jean-Denis Deletraz, hands down.
I agree and that's whats frustrating. They put so much time and effort into it and were so close to success but then pulled the plug.
It's sad actually, in 2009 Toyota actually looked to have made good progress and had some good finishes. They ended the season with 5 podiums and their second best constructors finish (after 4th in 2005) in 5th.
the Citation X-11 is a thing of beauty
They may as well have named this 1980 Motor Trend COTY.
My grandma had one, in that color. She tied an orange pom-pom to the roof rack so she could tell it apart from all the other Citations in any given parking lot. Sad but true story.
I drove an X-11 Citation as a demonstrator back when I worked at a car dealership in the early 80's. If you had to drive a Citation, this was the one to chose, though I purposefully parked it at the curb in front of my house hoping some drunk would sideswipe it so I could stop having to drive it. Didn't happen. Two…
those cars would lock up the rear brakes on wet roads... I saw it happen... with a Phoenix back in the 80's as they slowed down from about 25 to a stop light... POS did a 90° spin out.
Chevy Citation. This thing won car of the year in 1980.
