I would actually say that the dark-green/brown and black Taurus police car looks kind of bad ass. Certainly better than any blue and white livery I've seen them sporting.

I'd say more like a 993.

On a related note, the 90's Porsche 989 Concept might actually be better looking than the Panamera.

I would think that's the main motivator here. It should be cheaper. If anything this might, or perhaps should, become the base model for the Passat.
