I know I’m a bit high at the moment but what the hell did I just read? Like, is it me or does this article consist of mostly rambling incoherent thoughts? Should I be doing shots every time I read “Suicide Squad: The Extended Cut”?
Probably because Trump has planes. He has the best planes.
One gigantic biodome. Or an underground facility.
There’s a clause in the contract that guests sign that allows Delos to claim any and all DNA samples left in the park by guests (yes, who knows why). I suspect the boiler suits are for employee protection more than anything.
I’ve always assumed they’re not hazmat suits but simply clean suits. That is, they serve as a barrier between what’s in them an what’s outside them. The workers keep their clothes clean from all of the dirt/blood/etc that they deal with when resetting an area and they also prevent any accidental “additions” to the…
A lot of the maintenance/butchers wear those suits just to not get blood/muck on regular clothes and also because it is not setting appropriate and the hosts are programmed to ignore things that don’t belong in their world (Delores/Her Father and the city photograph). Behavior staff often dress up as guests so that…
Hmmm... possible that the Host’s blood contains a toxin that, while harmless in small doses, can gradually build up in someone’s system? So the grunts who go in the park and deal w/ bodies every night would be harmed from constant exposure, the directors and writers, etc who just occasionally enter the actual park and…
From what I read ( I can’t quite remember where), I don’t believe they are planning a big cliff hanger finale. I think they were actually going to wrap things up (not completely, but enough that it wouldnt be considered a cliffhanger) and set the stage for next season WITHOUT a big “is Jon Snow dead?” moment.
Could be as simple as not wanting to contaminate the park; by wearing the hazmat suits, they greatly reduce the chance of dropping a personal object into the park areas.
Perhaps they’re going full bodysnatcher on the rich and powerful? They have their DNA, so they can build the host “guts” to test as that individual, presumably. And the hosts observed them for several days or weeks, so they’d have a lot of data to impersonate them with.
I just assumed that getting the host blood on you would suck as much as getting fake blood on you. Plus if you’re cleaning up Clementine after she’s had a tumble with a paying customer, I don’t think you want to get any fluids on you. It’s also probably an OSHA thing.
“Boy, have we got a show for you!” is another reference. In the original film, the park’s promotional slogan was “Boy, have we got a vacation for you!”
I would think the obvious answer to the “What happens to all the paintings,” would be that they are sold in th Westworld Gift Shop on the way out of the park.
God, yes. Pinkham’s BCO/OTM segment has all but withered away. Sucks, because that shit was the only thing that made Monday morning bearable.
KITCHENETTE 4 LYFE.
Misery is one of the very few novels I’ve re-read (I still haven’t seen that movie, because the book was so chilling to me and I don’t want to ruin my imagination with it).
Agreed.
The novel explicitly says the hotel doesn’t go after Wendy, Duvall’s character, because she is too strong. It goes after Jack because he’s weak. The hotel realises Wendy is a threat, and that’s why it tries to get Jack to kill her. None of this is in the movie, Kubrick turned an interesting, strong female character…
Yeah!
