It begins with “It was a dark and stormy night.” That line is oft-quoted for a good reason, but until you read L’Engle’s obviously tongue-in-cheek take...* it’s just a wonderful wonderful book. Please read it IMMEDIATELY. I promise you will not be disappointed.

read it now go go go

Yes, and I really hope it blows away the box office so all those boring ass studio heads cranking out Marvel comic movies and remakes of reboots will scratch their heads while saying, “Gosh, we just don’t understand how this did so well.”

This week was all about Ghost Rider. There were some advances and references to the other plot lines (like FitzSimmons’ relationship and the Darkhold), but the meat of this episode was Ghost. Motherfucking. Rider. And god damn did it deliver.

Yeah, the show is definitely a rabbit-hole of philosophical themes. I know that’s going to turn off a lot of people, especially combined with it’s slow-burn approach to the plot, but I love it personally.

I also like the MiB arch because i think it also sets up an overarching theme to the show. Obviously there is the theme of ‘what is life?’ in terms of the hosts, but I think MiB and other guests like Logan also introduce the theme of what makes us a good or bad person? Apparently MiB is a philanthropist that does very

Interesting theory but I’m going with rape until shown otherwise. The MiB even flat out states that he sees his role in the game as that of arch villain. Also, just as a side note, I love the different approaches of Hopkins and Harris in their roles. Hopkins has the ‘quiet and dignified menace’ bit down flat, while

You know who isn’t? That’s right, Barb!

It also seems jarring because when MiB shows up in the first episode, the first thing he does is ‘rape’ Dolores, while Billy obviously is troubled by taking a darker turn with the hosts. While there could be something to be made of the idea that Billy eventually embraces the idea of indulging in his darker fantasies

What did MiB do with Delores in that barn? I know what we are supposed to think he did, but the show hasn’t actually shown or stated it. That first episode (and maybe every one since) has played with our expectations of who the hero, victim, and villain really is. Right now Teddy turns out to be more of a victim.

I’m also skeptical about the multiple time line theory since if you look at how much billy/login has aged to become the MiB, yet Ford hasn’t seemed to age at all between the two time lines.

I know! I threw my Snicker’s wrapper at the TV when it ended because I wanted more. And it’s Halloween.

I think that now that Delores is also on Maze Path that considering all the shitty things the MiB has done to her that we are headed for a show down between the two of them with Billy in the middle just trying not to be killed.

How about buy 11 boxes and get to see season 2 early. Nothing sounds better than binge watching season 2 and binge eating irresponsible amounts of waffles.

And the cryptic comment the tech makes:

And this: Delore digs up the gun that she can fire. She can’t seem to fire any other weapons. And that’s the gun she takes on the Nitro Raid quest.

Also, the was a small moment in ep 4 that took place in the control room where a tech noted that Dolores was going off loop in her companionship with Billy, and the elder Hemsworth made a comment about it. He’s also made several comments about the Man in Black. Unless his security character is supposed to be either an

I want no one to be the Man In Black but the Man In Black. The twist is that he’s simply a free radical with his own agenda and a diversion from the real storyline. Anything else will feel tired and done-to-death.

This is my biggest problem with the theory. We see Ford, supposedly in the furthest forward time frame with an old bartender bot. If that is how the robots were when things first started and the whole Arnold death/MIB being Billy thing happened fairly early, then why are the bots seemingly just as advanced today as

I like the Billy/Man in Black multiple timeline theory. However, if true I don’t see any sort of technological improvement to the hosts in that 30 year gap.
