@courtarro: I found out about this site about a year and a half ago. Being in Canada, the cheap little things that I need often carry a huge premium, this site is a lifesaver :D

@TomFrost: I would have to say that I'm the fastest at typing in DarkRoom. No distractions (In word I tend to use spellcheck while I'm typing and loosing my train of thought) is what most people need.
@PyroOsik: Same here, a teacher actually recommended me using my laptop instead of a pen and paper at one point.
@Bonsai_halcyon: Check an impound lot rather than under the hotel's counter, unless it's a really nice hotel.
@chris0089: I use Notebook BatteryInfo on my machine.
@John Steele: Personally I use [fivebean.com]
I've been trying to get PHProxy working with youtube for ages, I can't find a definitive guide that works.
@Guizzy: I got the 160 GB hard drive for extra space for games/movies/tv shows. Really handy to have around on long trips or when you happen to come across an HDTV with a VGA input.
I would totally buy this if it was available in Canada.
Shutter is really nice, you can shutdown at a timer, though there are a ton of other things you can do with it. One of them is shutdown or restart the computer using a web interface.
@sharked: Hell, iMovie is what I need on the Windows side, It does everything I need to do. The people who want a free editor don't even need to use Final Cut, something along the lines of iMovie HD is fine.
@cakalei: Windows Live Movie Maker is complete ass. The regular one is OK, though I hate saving to WMV as a format. If you want something on the iMovie level of things, there is NOTHING on the PC. I tried a friend's copy of Premier Elements and it was basically movie maker with a few crappy title screens, slower…

If you want to do that USB speaker workaround: [www.dealextreme.com]
@genterara: True! I would love a simple interface that would load through a proxy and on a mobile device.
@Alcadema: Check out Office 2010, they have a version or feature that allows you to put it on a flash drive.
@Not_your_average_geek: Well the people who BUY a commercial hackintosh are silly. You can easily go to newegg and build your own, making fit your needs.
@ninedosus: Does that work well, I mean, there isn't any flour.
My wireless Microsoft keyboard only has power, caps and num lock lights on the base. My netbook doesn't have a scroll lock light either.
